About us
Two kinds of designer. One agency.
Every great studio has a tension at its core. Ours is right there in the name — and it's the reason the work is good.
The story
It started with an argument
In 2019, two designers shared a desk at an agency that shall remain nameless. One of them pitched in headlines — huge ideas, bold strokes, the kind of concepts that make a client sit up in their chair. The other couldn't present anything until the kerning was perfect, the easing curves were tuned, and every pixel had earned its place.
They argued constantly. And then they noticed something: the work they fought over was always the work that won. The big swing needed the fine hand. The fine hand needed something worth perfecting. So they quit, rented a studio with bad heating and great light, and put the argument on the door: MAJOR//minor.
Seven years later, the studio has grown into a small, senior team of brand designers, animators, and developers — but every project still passes the same two tests. Is the idea big enough to matter? And is the craft fine enough to last?
The owners
The argument, personified
Jordan Vance
Creative director and the agency's big-swing thinker. Jordan leads strategy, brand platforms, and the "what if we just—" ideas that clients end up building entire campaigns around. Previously led brand at two agencies you've heard of.
Sam Okafor
Design director, motion lead, and resident perfectionist. Sam owns the craft — type systems, animation curves, the grid nobody sees and everybody feels. If it shipped from this studio, Sam has zoomed to 6400% on it at least once.
Our mission
"Make the MAJOR ideas impossible to ignore, and the minor details impossible to forget — for every client, at every size, every single time."
No small clients
A startup's first logo gets the same senior team and the same standards as a global rebrand. Big projects, small projects — same obsession.
Craft is strategy
Polish isn't decoration. The details are what make people trust a brand before they can explain why. That's a business outcome, not a flourish.
Argue, then align
The best work survives an honest fight. We pressure-test every idea internally so it's bulletproof by the time it reaches you.
Like how we think?
